The Little Gym

We got to go to the Little Gym Last Saturday for a birthday party. (Happy birthday Robert)
It was really a fun little place. They had a lot of equipment the kids to play on.
The kids really had a lot of fun.

We were sitting on this inflateable thing when They enflated it. It was pretty fun.
Although Kenna dn MyLee didn't think so.

Rings and Balance beams and all kinds of stuff!

Ballet class

Saileen had her first Ballet class on Monday.
The teacher said she did really well and most of all, SHE LOVED IT!!!

They prcticed their leaps, this is my cell phone video, so it's not very good quality.

The star jumps were her favorite.

I just can't believe how big she is getting!

He is HOME!!!!!

Mikal is HOME!!!!
He got home yesterday at 4:00 p.m. and was released at 7. It was so fun to have him back home. We picked him up at the airport and went home to have his favorite meal, Lasagna. He told us stories from his mission the people there. He left to go get released and this is what the other boys were found doing!
Oh yes it gets even better....
Two people on the bottom...
and two people on the top.
I have no idea how they can do that, but it was pretty fun to watch.
Ethan was trying to kick the streamers on the ceiling.
Kenna and Belle wanted to get in on the fun.
She was getting a little tired...
The oldest and the youngest in our family.
Saileen was having fun talking to Eden (Trenton and Danielle's' baby)
She is still so tiny! She is three months old and still the size of a new born.
She even got to hold her. She was so excited!
Grandma Weekes and Saileen, supervising the fun and festivities.
The Parties have just begun.....I think we will be having parties for the rest of the week!
We are so glad to have Mikal back and we are so proud of the Mission he servered!
Welcome back Mikal!!!

one a penny, two a penny....

The girls love the nursery rhyme "hot cross buns." I was trying to explain to them what they were, so we decided to make some
Here is the recipe we used
They turned out really yummy. They took a while to make because they had to raise like 3 different times. They took time but not to difficult of a recipe. All in all a success I think. I get my domestic star for the day!

I didn't even know this was happening!!

Check this out,

http://shortyrocksitshort.blogspot.com/

or

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-thrift2-2009jan02,0,2083247.story

it is about lead in kids porducts. I understand the need for it, but it sounds like it is going to have a big impact on kids clothes prices and small businesses or anyone selling kids stuff. So check it out. I am not sure how to take it.

(taken from her blog)
"Guys this is so far reaching it's not even funny. No more ebaying off your old kids clothes, no more buying used clothes off of ebay. No more "boutique" outfits..no more outlets. Say goodbye to Etsy. Clothing prices in REGULAR stores will SKYROCKET because it's extremely expensive to get EACH ARTICLE of clothing tested. All my used clothes in great shape will end up in landfills instead of going to thirdworld countries where they could do some good (and where they're not obsessing over lead..they just want clothes). "

Alas....

So I gave her a bath and I didn't do her hair, just to see what her hair would do, if it was long enough to just lay down. As you can see, beacuse of some cowlics, it won't.

Sometime I wonder what it would be like to have a child whos hair just lays down. I have not yet had the oppertunity to find out. Her hair may not be as curly as the other girls, but the cowlics make up for it. Maybe it will when it gets longer. Until then..it's rubberbands for this family.
