Thanksgiving

We had a simple Thanksgiving at home this year and it was really fun!!

We all got to eat and talk together and just hang out and have fun!

Derek was really excited about cooking the turkey, and having the leftover turkey!!!

We had mashed potatoes and corn and fruit salad and sweet yams and turkey! It was Yummy!

Derek did the yams and even made the marshmallow to go on top!

I made 2 pies, cherry and pumpkin! They were DIVINE!!!!!
A FABULOUS Thanksgiving and much to be thankful for!!!

While Daddy was gone

 While Derek was at Ragnar, I promised the girls I would make doll dresses.  

As promised here they are!!

All in all, it was a success, they love them!

Veterans day

We took a walk down to Steve and Darlene's house and Steve taught the kids about his service in Vietnam. 

 What amazing stories he told them of faith and prayer and the blessing of the Temple.  He almost died in a bombing that hit his tent, while he was serving int he medical tend, it killed the man who's bed was next to his and scattered his stuff all over.  It shook him up pretty badly and he prayed for peace and the spirit told him his parents were praying for him in the temple and he would be safe and return home unharmed. And sure enough, they were in the temple praying and he did return home unharmed!

Vegas Ragnar

Fun field trip!

We took a little trip to the Natural curiosity museum this week. It was a lot more fun when it is not so busy! Always a fun place to go! 

Playing is the climbing area, she does not look like she is having fun because she does not enjoy other kids being on the same thing as her....she gets nervous. 

Making his way down, I wish I would have gotten a video of his laugh while doing this, he was cracking up and loving it!

And the plane.....he was in love!

This was really cool, it made bubbles come up and colored lights come on every time you pushed a key!

More fun to be had at every turn!

She started being grumpy and wanted to move on when everyone wasn't ready yet, so she found a spot to hang out. 

Then...they got to pet a bearded dragon named Toothless!  By far their favorite part! 

It just sat there and let them pet it, for a very long time! 

This guy WOULD NOT touch the dragon, so we opted to examine the bug instead!

She liked lining up the bug cubes...Funny kid!

 Another successful field trip I must say! Yay!
