Baby boy...4 months!!!

Can't believe it, he is 4 months old!!
He is such a happy, fun little guy!!
He chews on his hands...constantly. No teeth that I can see though.
He loves to be a part of everything.  Even meal time.
He loves to sit on my lap and watch us all eat.
I know he can probably starting rice cereal and other foods,
but I think I am not in a hurry for him to grow up too fast!!
I love his laugh!!!
I love his cute little dimples!!
He loves to be held and he is a Momma's boy right now.
And I am totally OK with that!!
He is starting to sleep longer at night...which I am truly grateful for!!
His little blue eyes so sweet! I love this little guy to pieces!!

Pushing up the sky

Saileen was in her first play. The play dramatized an ancient story, retold around camp fires and carved into totem poles by the Snohomish tribe of the Pacific Northwest. The legend tells of a time when the seven Native American tribes of the region joined with the birds and forest animals to solve the problem of a lowering sky. The seven chiefs put aside their differences in language and customs to push the sky back into its place so the people and animals could live their lives without constantly bumping into the clouds.

Saileen is in the picture on the left with a curly bow in her hair.  You can see her head just to the left of the boy in the blue.

She had so much fun, we had fun watching her!!

More about the play in this link, they made the Daily Herald!!

annoyed

I am kind of annoyed right now, I have to vent and the person that is bugging me doesn't read my blog, so I think it is safer to do it here. I was on MY pintrest pinning things that interest me. Some of which had to do with politics. This morning on faceboook a follower of my piintrest board had this to say

"I am glad that some people have such strong beliefs that they want to share with others. And although I don't want people "preaching" their political beliefs to me, I will tolerate the facebook posts because everyone has the right to post that. But pinterest? Really? It isn't enough that I have to see all the mudslinging on facebook, now I have to see pictures and propaganda on pinterest? Pinterest is supposed to be for collecting ideas, not spreading propaganda. I think it has gone too far."

Now I know that is wasn't aimed at me directly but I am pretty sure that is where she saw it. Here is my issue with it. ITS MY PINTREST BOARD!! I can PIN what INTERESTS me. hence the name!! Wether is be food, clothes, homeschooling or POLITICS!!! If you don't like it, don't read it, don't follow me!! I don't really care!! but I shouldn't have to not pin things that I like because it might offend you! I was not preaching....I don't care what you believe, but don't tell me what to pin and not pin!!

And then you can say whatever you like and if I reply with my opinion, it would cause a war. So I won't, I know better than to start something that isn't worth fighting over. But it is terribly annoying that they think they can have an opinion on what I pin. People post about religion and homeschool, health and all kinds of things that might not appeal to everyone. Do we have to start worrying about what everyone else thinks before we pin it??? Totally not cool!!

Whew, I need to take a deep breath and let it go.......

P.S. please don't get offended at this post, I can't take any more people telling me I can't have an opinion!!!

Ok, I'm all better now! :)

Flood devastation in our area

I am sure many of you have heard on the news about the flooding in our area,
After the wild fires, there was nothing to keep the mud from sliding down the mountain with all the rain we had in such a short amount of time.
This may seem like you are standing at a river bank.....its actually the road
Redwood road was closed for a while, keeping a lot of people from getting home
This is  a storm drain filled with mud and debris.
There were a couple dozen homes in the path of the mud slide.  The result was devastating.
The call went out at about 10:00p.m. for men to come help. Derek didn't get in until l 3 or 4 am
There were some that suffered huge losses.  Thankfully we are further south  from the area hit hardest, but these people are in our stake and they were hit hard.
Some homes are a total loss

The stake President cancelled the 2nd and 3rd hour of church so people could go help the clean up effort. Such good people  out here. It has been amazing to see how  people jump in to help and do it with a smile.

*these are not my photos, they are from the city and a couple from friends on facebook.

a fun site

So a friend of mine posted about a site called picmonkey.  I wan't sure what it was, so I went there, and as it turns out, it is a lot of fun.  If you don't have access to Photoshop, this is a great option, it does a lot of things with ease and then some fun things like spray tan and the nip tuck are fun to play with. Anyway, just thought I would share this photo editing site.

Family pictures!!!

It is such a relief when family pictures are done for another year!!  I think they turned out great!  Despite a less than ideal day, it all came together and worked out great!
And a big thanks to my sister and her husband who helped us out!!
They were being all kinds of crazy to get smiles out of the kids!
My Sweetheart....who has been so patient with me and my hormones and sleep deprivation. Things have not been normal around here and he has taken it all in stride.  Love this guy!!!
My Kiddos, Can't just say girls anymore ;)...They are my life and my pride and joy!!
My little 3rd grader, loving school and doing great!!
The Big helper around here.  She has stepped up her game and is a lot of help around the house!
Little miss thang is as spunky as usual and is reading and loves doing her school work!
This little lady has a mind of her own.  She loves to sing espically songs from her favorite shows,
and suprisingly knows the words to the songs!!
This little man is growing so fast!! He is a joy and I love every minute that I spend with him! You can ask anyone, I don't let many people hold him cause I just love to hold him and snuggle him.  I just know that he won't be little for very long and I want to savor ever moment!
Me and my kiddos!!  Its weird to think that I went through pregnancy and delivery with each one of them! That means the all together I have been pregnant for almost 5 years! Yikes!!
I haven't had my pictures taken alone, on purpose since my wedding.....So don't laugh at me!!
The Family...I love them so much!!

3rd grade

Her first day of school!  In the 3rd grade.....She was very excited!
The other girls keep asking where she is...Its strange not having her around.
Kaliah keeps saying she wants to go with her...and saying she misses her.
Its the begining of a new era for our family!

The big 5!!

She is 5 whole years old!!!
She is a sweet, silly and fun little girl!

She is pretty shy, but when she cuts loose, she is a crack up!

She loves to Color, play barbies and dress up and anything Princess!

I love how she loves to help people

She loves to learn, even if she doesn't want me to know it.  She can read but claims that she can't.  Not sure why, but I see her do it when she doesn't know I am watching.  Tricky little girl.

This is her cheesey face she does when she is being shy, Totally a classic Jojo face.
Love this kid, she is such a cutie!
