Their Favorite Thing!

The girls ballet teacher let us have a picture day so we could take pictures inside the room during class. We usually just take them through the window we can watch class through.

Warming up, kenna was showing off her flexability.  You go kenna!  Saileen on the other hand is my child and struggles with the flexibility aspect of dance.

Sailleen loves the camera!  Such a little ham!

Doing across the floor kicks.  Saileen is loving every minute of it!
They get to do a little free dance to the music.
It is fun to watch them make up their own little moves!

The teacher will randomly stop the music and they have to freeze and then the do a turn together and then dance again.  This is a picture of the turn.
More free dance.  Saileen has quite the moves.
Learning at the ballet bar.

She is listening and doing exactly what the teacher says.
You can tell she loves doing this.

Doing the baby face dance!

Getting ready to do their big jump!!

This is so Kenna!  Doing the across the floor excersizes she is looking at herself in the mirror and making faces.  Silly Kiddo!!
All in all this is by far what their favorite thing to do!

Princess hair day

The girls have been into curly hair lately...

Today was a princess hair day
Jojo got in on the action today

Kenna's hair turned quite cute. I was questioning weather or not it would work because it is so short, but it turned out pretty well.

And of course Saileen my little lady has decided that she wants her hair curly all the time.
Such girly little girls I have!

Disney on Ice

We decided to go to the Disney on Ice show for the girls Birthday
They Were so excited!
We took the trax to the arena.  The girls were a bit nervous to ride the train, but by the time we go there, they were loving it!
There was a parade going on and everyone had dogs with them.
Are dog parades a normal thing around there? apparently so.
We went with Celeste and Isabelle.
They got a lollipop while they watched the show....
I learned that Kenna's  loved Peter Pan. Out of all the characters there, Peter Pan was her favorite! Who would have thought.
The Show was fun!  I am glad they are old enough to remember things like this now. I wish it didn't cost so much to go to things like this.  It was a great activity,
but not one we would do  regularly.
Happy Birthday Girls!

Saileen's song

Saileen was just singing a song about the United States. It went a little something like this

"We are the Untied States, We are the United states
We are the United States of the American Idol..."

The Museums at BYU

So we went to see the fun things to do at BYU.  They have a few Museums that are totally free!  It was really a fun afternoon seeing all the cool stuff.

I think she was trying to communicate with it.
Doing their best "bear" impression.

They loved this one because it was a jaguar like on Diego
I thought this one was really cool, that big butterfly
is made up of different colored little butterflies

They had a whole bunch of animals there, some I have never even heard of before.
The girls loved it!
This was at the art museum.  This exibit was all made our of garbadge,
yes garbadge.  It was pretty cool! This one was balloons.

You would never guess, but this is really little sauce packets....

Here is an upclose shot....yep , little sauce packets!

They loved this one, they were packing peanuts, when you pushed the button, the fans would come on and it would blow them all up to the ceiling but the way they had the fans positioned, they never mase a mess....very interesting!  They pushed the button probably 30 times.
Cool stuff!!

My Little Kenna turns 3!

Kenna turned 3 today!
She has grown so much in the past year.
I thought it would be fun to take quick look back at how she has grown!
She is only a few weeks old in this one. She was such a sweet little baby.
She has always been such a happy little kid!
She waited until about 14 months old to start walking....
She got the nick name squishy for obvious reasons! ;P
Now she is 3. She loves being independent. She loves having her hair "down down down" and loves her "bangs on her forehead" (she asked me to give her bangs again a couple weeks ago)
Her favorite things are dancing and playing barbies, princesses and dress up.
She has a great imigination and could play with pretty much anything for hours.
She loves to eat hot dogs, spaghetti and Lucky Charms
She loves to snuggle and has always loved to sleep.
She often gets in her bed and takes a nap if she feels tired.
She hates tags on her shirts and she is afraid of flies
I hope you have enjoyed a little peak into Kenna's word.
I love this kid to pieces!
Happy Birthday Kenna!!!

Who is Drew

So I have had a couple people wonder who Drew is. It is quite a story, in order to understand you have to know who Joe and Denise are. Joe and Denise met my parents in Vancouver. My parents were ward Missionaries and gave them there new member discussions after they got baptized. They have been through some pretty crazy stuff, there stories would amaze you! They became very close to our family. They pretty much became part of the family. Then we all moved to Utah. a year or so later they moved here as well. I can now see their house from my front door. So they got involved with a program to help kids who have no where else to go. This is where Drew comes into the picture. He is Native American. He is 20 years old. He has had a really tough life. He has been through stuff I could never imagine living though. He was abandoned at 4 years old and was left to wander the streets alone. Finding food and shelter where ever he could find it. So he has never had a family. They exists but they are not family. So he lives with Joe and Denise and they plan on adopting him and making him a permanent part of the family. He now has a family. He is part of our big crazy family and has come so far and grown so much . When you talk to him you would never know where he came from. He is a good kid and is now getting the opportunities that every kids deserves.
So ther you have it. That is Drew in a nut shell.

To Snow or not to snow!

This is what it looks like outside right now....not so nice! Strange thing was that we were at the park this morning, and there was NO SNOW AT ALL!!!
Funny how the weather can change so quickly!

This is just a couple hours before at the park
It was FREEZING!!! But it was fun! Can't wait 'til spring!
Jo Jo loved the swings! She calls them 'Weee"
Kenna scraped her knee while heading out the door and this is how she decided to
be until it was almost time to go and then she decided
it was more fun to be happy. Silly kiddo.

Jo Jo and Drew on the slide, I think Drew was having too much fun!

What a happy girl!

fail owned pwned pictures

Exactally who is this little stroll for?

Miss Kenna

So She wanted bangs again. She said "Mom, I want bangs on my forehead!" I think in makes her look like a little girl again instead of a mini teenager like before. Another bonus is her hair is more out of her face. So for the time being, we are back in the bangs business!!
This I just had to post because she came down foir lunch looking like this.
Hey bugs gotta eat too, ya know!
