BPA and baby bottles

I don't know how many of you are affected by the baby bottle problem that has been on the news lately. I have been doing some research to figure out what I am going to do and what bottles, sippy cups and pacifiers are safe.

I found a link to a list of a lot of "safe" ones for now.

http://safemama.com/2007/11/22/bpa-free-bottle-and-sippy-cup-cheat-sheet/

in the upper left corner is has a link to the safe pacifiers and teethers.

Also, not on their list is the cheap parents choice bottles, like these nuby and evenflo ones which are also safe.

I have sadly found out that the binkies and bottles we are currently using are not on the safe list, so off to the store we go to get some new bottles for her last 3 months.

Good luck, let me know if you have any more info in it. THANKS!!

Thanks for the info about bottles and sippies! I'm going to look at that site right now...

About the word verification...I wasn't trying to make anybody feel bad by saying it! It's not a HUGE sacrifice for me to type in the letters. :) You're sweet to take it off just for me, but please know that you don't have to! I was just grousing in general...

Are you going to Jordan Weekes' wedding next week?

I haven't heard anything about it! And Kristen I use the word verification because My Blog isn't private and it keeps spammers away so it does do good! I like it!!!

kristen...i searched more about this on line and no bottles have been recalled in the us and the bottles that don't have bpa are very very expensive they say...the only way that the bpa can be released is if you heat your bottle or scratch it...I don't ever heat mine...Eli and I decided that anything causes cancer anyways...with him in the medical field he gets reports all the time...like burnt hotdogs, watermelon, whatever!!! Too many things!!! And anything that is plastic and cheap contains it as well...such as tupperware, storage items, etc...Just thought I would let you know!!!
