Traveling and Day 1 and 2

On the road!
Our View most of the way!
Lots of natural scenery!
Going through Vagas!

And Lots of Desert!

Getting into California, the first sight of the Beach!
The very first time for the kids to see the Ocean!

There was a funny little seal sitting on the beach, all by itself.

It didn't seem to mind all the surfers and people all around. It just sat there like it owned the beach!
Saturday was BEACH DAY!!!! You can see the excitement on his face!!!!
We went to Coronado Beach!
It was a little chilly at first, but the warmed up pretty quick!
These 2 were fearless and running all around the beach and collect huge awesome seashells!
This guys hung out pretty close to me and played in the sand!
Derek was a wild man in the water! He LOVED it! boogie boarding and playing in the ocean!
All the sand toys kept this boy happy!
This was my spot! Under the umbrella, watching the fun!
They would transport the water up the beach in the buckets and build castles with it!
Building all kinds of fun stuff!
They found this AMAZING shell....But, it had a creature in it....so we left it there. I did not want to try to get it out, or bring that little sea creature with us!
Happy faces and sandy feet!
Blue skies and the ocean!
Kenna went back and forth, from playing in the water with Saileen and Mylee to hanging out in the sand with Kaliah and MyKay!
There is Jo and Boo out there in the water! Where they spent most of the day!
And of course, when you are at the beach SOMEONE has to get buried! MyKay was the tribute! ha ha HE didn't mind one bit!
He even helped them pile it up!
The guy way our there in the water, is of course, Derek....He went too far out for my liking, but he is adventurous that way!

The worst part of the day was having to find a bathroom for this boy! Of course he had to go number 2, so we had to walk like 2 blocks down to find a bathroom, which still boggles my mind why they didn't have one closer to the beach. He and Kaliah and I made it there and back in one piece, so It's all good!
This is what happens to one's hair when you are on a windy, salty sea beach all day! Wow frizzy crazy hair! ha ha
And I was the only one who got sun burned, because I slathered everyone in sunscreen except for myself, which was fine, because I had the umbrella, but I did't account for the 2 block walk I had to take to find a bathroom, so I got pretty burned on our little walk. Nothing a little silver and Lavender could't handle though!

Sunday, chillin at the Hotel, getting ready to go see the San DIego Temple

These kids thought they had dies and gone to heaven with the juice that they got every morning at breakfast!
Lookin' all fancy!
What a BEAUTIFUL Building!

Looking in from the gates outside! We thought this would be out only view, then someone, by some miracle opened the gates and we got to go in!
Even more beautiful inside the gates!
We were not without the grumpiness.

But we were able to pull out of it and decide to be happy!
A picture close to the temple!
Goof monkeys!
Jojo Loving the purple flowers!
Saileen loved the pink flowers!
There weren't any boy colored flowers, but he is cute anyway!
This was the closest to blue she could find!
Looks truly like a castle!
SO bright here is sunny California!
All smiles!!! Love these people!
They loved finding flowers that had fallen off! They were like treasures!
These are MY treasures!

Me and my LOVE!
Such a beautiful place!
We went to the Mormon Battalion museum! It was pretty awesome!
These flowers were awesome!

Saileen was voulentold to be the one to try on the gear they wore!
I think she enjoyed it more than she let on! ;-)
Watching the video clip of the journey!
Their Favorite was panning for GOLD!
They got to practice hand washing clothes!
They got to look through binoculars around the area!
Derek loved it as much as the kids did!
I feel bad for anyone who lives in binocular viewing distance of this building! ha ha
Our Family are honorary Mormon Battalion members! ;-)
We went to La Jolla beach after that! This was called Seashell beach. The parking was INSANE!
There were tons on little sea shells everywhere.
The waves would sneak up on us and get us all wet, unless you could run fast!
They had fun collecting the little shells!
Quite the view!
sandals in hand, looking for sea shells!
Seagulls, on their little perch!
This little cove was a cute little cave like thing!
Our cute family at the beach!
I rolled my ankle because I was wearing flip flops...LAME-O! Luckily I had some deep blue with me! SO We are all good!

It is nothing compared to Derek's ankle that he rolled just 3 days before our trip. It is pretty nasty looking! We have been keeping oils on it! Hopefully he can walk around amusement parks all week!
