Another good one

Why Go To Church?
If you're spiritually alive, you're going to love this!
If you're spiritually dead, you won't want to read it.
If you're spiritually curious, there is still hope!
~
A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. 'I've gone for 30 years now,' he wrote, 'and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all.'This started a real controversy in the 'Letters to the Editor' column, much to the delight of the editor.
~
It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:
'I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32 ,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this. They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today.
Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!'
When you are DOWN to nothing.... God is UP to something!
Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible!
Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment!
'When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, 'Jesus, could you get that for me?'

The Stanger

THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING STORY!
The Stranger
A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger
who was new to our small Texas town.
From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer
and soon invited him to live with our family.
The stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on.
As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family.
In my young mind, he had a special niche.
My parents were complementary instructors:
Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey.
But the stranger...he was our storyteller.
He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures,
mysteries and comedies. If I wanted to know anything about politics,
history or science, he always knew the answers about the past,
understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future!
He took my family to the first major league ball game.
He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking,
but Dad didn't seem to mind. Sometimes,
Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were
shushing each other to listen to what he had to say,
and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet.
(I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)
Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions,
but the stranger never felt obligated to honor them.
Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home...
Not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our longtime visitor,
however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears
and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.
My Dad didn't permit the liberal use of alcohol.
But the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis.
He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes distinguished.
He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex.
His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive,
and generally embarrassing.
I now know that my early concepts about relationships
were influenced strongly by the stranger. Time after time,
he opposed the values of my parents,
yet he was seldom rebuked... And NEVER asked to leave.
More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family.
He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first.
Still, if you could walk into my parents' den today,
you would still find him sitting over in his corner,
waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures.
His name?...............See below:

We just call him,
"TV."
* *Note: This should be required reading for every household in America !
**P. S. He has a wife now....We call her "Computer."

Fun ones

While setting up for photoshoots, my kids get to be stand-in's in the picture. These are a few that I thought were fun.

I am not sure what is more silly, the face, or the hair!
For any of you who know Kenna, this is totally her!
I thought this one was funny, because of MyLee's face, it look like she got caught!

She SPEAKS!!

So as we were getting ready for bed tonight, I was taking to Mylee and I said, "say Bed" and to my suprise she DID! Then I thought it was worth a shot and I said "say Blankie" and sure enough she said it. I couldn't get her to say both in one clip, so two will have to do. In the first clip she said bed, but not as clearly as she did before it kind of sounds like BEDA. She said it perfectly a few minutes before. The second one she says blankie. She kept saying blankie over and over for the rest of the night what a funny girl.

Presents and Cake

Here are a few clips of the Presents and Cake for her Birthday.

She was so excited about presents. She screamed everytime she opened one. She loved it.

I am not sure why she was trying to eat it with out using her hands, maybe she was hoping it would jump into her mouth. ;P

She was Trying to maison with her chocolate fingers...she is such a tease!

This is after a half of a cupcake and a red popcicle. Gotta love birthdays!

A cool project

So when I started, I had a board similar to this one. My sister in law re-covered a cork board, so I got a wild hair that maybe I could do something similar.

After 2 days I finished. It was pretty cool. Derek Drilled 2 holes in the back where the buttons go and I threaded it through and put the button on. after I stuffed it cotton.

Here it is after I put everything back on it. It's not without flaws but I think overall it turned out pretty good. Definitly a lot cuter than a big white board in their room before.

I am happy with how it turned out. I love it when a project works. It makes me feel...dare I say....crafty!!

My nephew, the Superhero!

My Nephew Maison turned 4 today. We took his pictures this morning and I decided to suprise him with this picture in poster size for his bedroom. He was so cute when he saw it he said, "hey that's me, that's me with Superman! I'm Flying with Superman!" Thanks to my brother, we pulled it off, and got it printed in time. We totally suprised Breanne, She was so excited about it. I had fun putting it together, and Maison's response made it all worth it.
Happy Birthday Maison!!

A few more

Here are a few more from MyLee's photo shoot. I can't even decide which one I like the best!
This one is so cute and she even crossed her feet all on her own.
The princess has arrived.
I like this one too. Such a sweet look on her face.

She thought she was tricky reaching for a toy in this one.
Classic blank stare.....I think she was thinking "Are you done yet?"
Such a innocent look...but looks can be deciving!
SHe was vey proud that she climbed the ladder all by herself.

Big Brown eyes like her Daddy.

My precious little baby, Happy Birthday MyLee!

A year already!!

My Baby is turning one on Saturday! I can't believe it has already been a year!!

She is such a sweet baby! When I was looking at the pictures we did of her, I couldn't choose just one, each expresion was so cute, I had to use more than one. I will post some of her others later. She is such a big girl now, she sleeps in a toddler bed now and she loves it!

They just grow up so fast!

Problem Solved!

Kenna has allergies, so one morning at breakfast, she was sneezing and her nose was running, so I sent her upstairs to get a tissue, While she was up there, I suspect, that she was coming up with a solution to the problem all on her own. She came down the stairs so proud of herself, I couldn't stop laughing, I couldn't resist taking a picture.
