Last days of 2014!

My Mom gave us some games for Christmas and we have been playing them a lot!
Kenna got Frozen cards and we play Snap, and rummy, which Saileen loves, and Crazy eights
MyKay Loves his "How to train your Dragon" Memory match that he insists on taking it with him when he goes to sleep.
We have begun finishing the basement....this is where is begins! Deconstruction.
We cleaned this all up in a few hours and got everything ready!
Lumber arrives!
Walls are almost all down!
It looks so differently without the walls and door gone!
End of day 1, all the walls are down, and ready for framing!
The framers got it done in 1 day!!  Derek and Saileen are checking out the new bedrooms going in!
Ready for electrical!
I went grocery shopping and the line to get out was crazy!!!

We put up the room divider in the girls room so they had somewhere to put their clothes with the closet smaller and under construction. Turned out pretty cool. They really like it!
Sunday afternoon nap with my boy ;-)
Goodbye to 2014! Welcome 2015!! Can't wait to see what great things are in store!!! 15 is my favorite number so I have high hopes for this year!

Snow day!!

Snow continued to fall over night so the next day the kids just had to go out in it!
I love to get a picture of the kids when they bundle up for the first time to play in the snow!
Too...cute....for ...words!!!
All bundled the ventured out!
Jumping, or trying to jump on the Trampoline!
Maykay even ventured out for the first time to really play in the snow. He was too little last year.

MyKenna and Mylee buried themselves in the snow like it was sand on the beach
Looks too cold!!!
Then he got snow on his gloves and touched his face and wasn't thrilled about that
Ah the joys of the first snow fall of the season!
Then while trying to get off the trampoline he face planted in the snow
As much as Saileen tried to get the snow off, he had had it!
He was done with the snow
And quite upset at that!
The older girls stayed out for a while and I can just hear one of them say.."Do you wanna build a snowman?" And they DID!
To not have to take her cloves of, Saileen put the raisins on with her mouth!
It was hilarious to watch!
Mylee helped for a long time but came in just before they finished so she missed the picture!
Kaliah came in not much after MyKay
Mykay stood and watched them from the window.  That is my kind of kid! Too cold for me!!!
They had a lot of fun and I cleaned up and made some tomato soup to warm them up when they got in. After cleaning up from yesterday it feels like we are back to normal. Derek started on the basement. They are putting in the heating vents and getting the basement heading in the direction of being done! It will be a lot of fun when it is!
2014 is nearly done!

Christmas day!!!!!

Christmas morning was a little rough. Mylee threw up a couple times.  But after a while she was ok. I dont have many pictures because we were having too much fun to take pictures! I did manage to get a couple!  It pretty much described how our day went!
After presents we all bummed around and MyKay watched the Elmo Christmas special..While laying on his new legos!
The girls got some new dolls, monster high and ever after high and plush frozen dolls.  My girls do love dolls! Mykay got a Batman toy that shoots a grappling hook and he walked around shooting us all day! He would come up and say "oot you" and then shoot us. It was very funny.
The house was a mess, but Christmas is over too soon to spend it cleaning!
At lest that is what I tell myself! he he
We also woke up to a white Christmas! The first snowfall to stick of the season!
So we sat around building their new lego sets and watched the snow fall!
Doesn't get much better than that!
They really did play legos all day!  I believe we have hours of fun in store with their new sets!

The evening came and we were sad to see Christmas go!
Yet it was another successful Christmas, and fun was had by all!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve!  The girls spent most of their day making doll houses out of empty cereal boxes.  Their creativity amazes me!
Stairs and multiple levels even

Decorated walls and pictures
They loaded it with little doll food and beds and such and played for hours!
Then we had Christmas Eve dinner and in stead of doing the traditional Nativity, each one of them came up with something that told what the birth of Christ meant to them.

Saileen created a visual and told about the nativity and how she felt about it
MyKenna made up her own word to the song "The First Noel" and sang it for us
MyLee drew a picture and bore her testimony
Kaliah sang "I am a Child of God"
MyKay sat quietly and watched it all like an angle!
Then Derek and I bore our testimonies and of course I bawled, so no picture needed!
It was a very tender time with the kids and the spirit was strong.
Then it was Jammie time!!!!
All of the girls got leggings and a new t shirt and Mykay got Robot Jammies that he calls "boop boop beep beep" Derek got new basketball shorts and Derek got me Batman Jammmies!!!
"Always be yourself, unless you can be Batman....Always be Batman!!!"
Then the Tree was loaded with presents and not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!

Early December

I decided to make some doll dresses for my nieces for the gift exchange with my family.  This one was Eden's...it was my Elsa interpretation ;-)

So Saileen likes to read on the tablet library app....but she always falls asleep. One night before going to bed, she told me "I will for sure bring up the tablet tonight or I will NEVER read on the tablet again!" Well, she fell asleep with it in her bed again.  So in the morning she wrote me this note. I got to have a few moments to explain to her, we all get second chance from our Heavenly Father, we need to be sincere in our repentance and try our best!  So she lost her privilege for the rest of the week, but was more than thrilled that she got a 2nd chance!

Right behind it I got this letter from Kenna.  She sometimes has a hard time obeying right away. We are working on that.  But I am amazed at my children's sensitivity to right and wrong. I am truly blessed to have them in my life!

This boy LOVES electronics.  his favorite is story bots.  He would play that all day if I would let him!!
I took these pictures of him and he didn't even look up!
Oh dear, we are in trouble!
For my birthday, we updated out 72 hour kits.  I had to update the photos in the girls packs. And funny enough, I couldnt find one of this girl where she wasn't pulling a silly face! ;-)
This one either!
And this guy changes so fast that I needed the most recent one I could get of him!
On my actual birthday Derek and I went shopping and out to eat.  I got this shirt..I was testing a picture of it to Derek who was on a call for work in the car for a little bit. I ended up getting it and another one that was black. When I got home, the girls had cleaned up and made dinner with my mom and had cards made for me. I have such great kids and a fabulous mom!
Saileen babysat for Celeste one day so she could get some shopping done.  MyKay loves having buddies over!
My kids love to take pictures of their projects..So when I load pictures from the tablet, I always find out what things they were particularly proud of!
This was a creation Kenna and Kaliah did.
Pretty impressive!
