Our Stay-cation!!

We started out adventure by going to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point. It was so much fun!! In addition to the dinosaurs they have a science area. They loved it!

Making a smoke cloud!
Centrifugal force machine
This wind machine was cool too, well, it was all cool!!!
On to the dinosaurs!!
They had a sand table that everyone loved!!
Including Derek!! ;P

They played there forever, we practically had to pry them away!

In this one, they are seeing how much they weigh, compared to dinosaurs
Family picture as we are in the jaws of a shark!!!

Then we ventured onto the kids gardens still as Thanksgiving point.
They were putting on a show at the buggy stage!
This thing was blazing hot!! I am surprised they even wanted to go in it! Brave kids!
Musical station on the trail
Where there is music....there must be dancing!!!

The next day we went to "This is the Place Monument"

They has so much fun stuff!
They got to wash and hang laundry like the used to do!
if they were only as enthusiastic about doing laundry at home!!
On to the petting zoo...Baby went in with Derek. Where are the others??
On the other side of the fence, to chicken to go pet the goats!!

Trying out an old school chair!
This was one of my favorite areas, partly because they had a shady bench to sit on!!
It was a little town that had 6 building all their size!! How fun!!
Cute face!!
They went to the school and learned how to write there name in dessert alphabet, very interesting!!
She was dying to ride the horse, once we got there, she was not too thrilled!!
I walked by her on the horse and she said she loved it.....after she was off!!
What is with my kids and animals??

Riding the train thing...glad for a break from walking!!
Panning for some gold, they even got to keep it!! Not real of course!!

Last stop...the Aviary. Derek was patronizing the poor peacock!!
Bunch of sillies!!
She liked the birds, maybe because she was bigger than them! ;P
We went to the gateway on day 2...so this is out of order,
they were wanting to play on the spash pad. but it wasn't working.....
So we went to the Children's Museum....This place was fun, but really super busy. (shcool was even back in and we were there in the morning!) If you know me, I am not a fan of busy places with tons of children not being watched. Needless to say, not my favorite place!!
The little house was cute!!
The mini grocery store, the little girl as the cashier looked like she was having an issue, maybe she didn't want to price match..he he...although she does look the part.
Water table, kids and SPLASHING water....match made in heaven!
They tried their hand at the wall......
and did really well!!
Got to the top!!!
Fun life sized pretend horse!! How fun!!
Some may note it doesn't look busy with the pictures i took, trust me it was!! I would just take the kids where there were the least amount of children. Because I was actually watching mine!!!
***Not that all of the children were misbehaving.
But the ones who were, (pushing there way in, being wild and crazy, and generally impolite) made it hard for the rest of us.
Finally made it back to the splash pad and it was working, lots of fun to be had be all!!!
So that's it!! We had a blast and did lots of fun things.
The girls said that is was the "Best vacation ever!!!" Mission accomplished!!!
