My Little Josie turns 7!!

Mylee Jo had a birthday on Saturday!!!

She is 7!!  I can's believe it!!

She got a new fedora, which she has been asking for, for months!

She is such a smart and sweet girl!!

She loves to ride her bike and play outside!

She loves to play "ever after high" dolls and Barbies

She is very good at doing her chores and is one of the best dish washer loaders I know!

She loves to read fairy books and loves to go to the library!

Her favorite animal is Penguins and had MANY stuffed animals that are penguins!

She is trying very hard to loose a tooth but hasn't gotten any out yet!!! But she is determined!  And if there is anything I know about this girl is that when she sets her mind to something she will make it happen!

This is one of her birthday outfits!!!  

She got an Elsa doll from Frozen and a Teacher Barbie and the Ever After High Holly and Poppy twins! She was in HEAVEN!!!

She chose Pizza for Dinner and Brownies and Strawberry ice cream for dessert.  She helped me make all of it and the Brownies were pretty much all her doing!!! It was YUMMY!!!!!!

Happy Birthday MyLee Jo! We are so blessed to have you in out lives!!!

It has begun

So we have known for a while that Kenna was going to need braces, but the time has now come!

If you can tell, just the the right of her front tooth she had a permanent tooth coming in before the baby one was even out!!  Needless to say, she doesn't have room for all those big teeth coming in!!
The orthodontist said that the tooth would probably have to be pulled because it wouldn't have the help of the permanent tooth to help dissolve the roots.  Hmm...not so happy about that. So I bribed her with a toy she really wanted and we had it out within 24 hours....YES!!  She was scared but she was brave enough to let me pull it out (after much wiggling of the tooth!)

So off to the Orthodontist. They put in rubber bands between the back tooth to make room for the metal brackets that will help widen her palate. 

She got a "no Payne, no gain" shirt she is wearing in this picture. Her Orthodontist's name is Dr. Payne. Kind of funny if you ask me!  She has got one lone ranger tooth in front and hopefully those others will have some room soon to come in!! We are excited to see her progress as she gets her braces!! Yay Kenna!!!!

Children's Museum

We went to the Children's museum, it is a lot of fun!  It is very busy in the summer!

This is a little more acurate on how high she was, this is not zoomed in. That is her nearly to the green square on the right side of the ladder. You can barely see her!

They had all kinds of teeter totters and zip lines and things!

This is the store area, it was all well and good until MyKay wandered off and we couldn't find him!!!! It was SOO scary!!! I prayed so hard and finally found him at the top of the huge stairs!  Worst feeling ever!!!  I can't believe I lost my kid!!!!

 Overall it was really fun, aside from loosing my kid! Other than that, It was blast and we can't wait to go again!!!

Crib re-purpose!

 So we have this crib...it has been part of out world for a very long time. 3 babies have used it.  When the last baby outgrew it....we didn't need it any more.

I was excited to get to use it again..

and then baby MyKay took is turn in it 

It was a drop side crib so we couldn't pass it onto anyone else, but I could's stand to just trow it away!

So I saw this pintrest about making a bench out of an old crib

So Derek decided to give it a shot!

And ta da!!!  The finished product!!  I LOVE IT!!!!!
I get to keep the old crib around, but it is now BEAUTIFUL as a bench!!!!!

Ragnar

Derek ran the Ragnar for the first time this year! His brother came down from Seattle and ran it too! 

It was fun to be able to run with Eli!

He did really well and is running another in November!  

My boy, My little boy!

He turned 2!!  I really can't believe it!! 

 He LOVES his trucks, cars, trains, any kind of ball and puppy dogs stuffed animals!

He also loves ELMO!!  He got this little guy for his birthday!

He is such a big boy, he is in a big bed, no binkies, no diapers and he walks and talks like he owns this place!

He loves to say "banana" and "Ice" which he is CONSTANTLY asking for!

Some of his other favorite things is being outside, his blue push car he rides in, and playing on the ipad!!

He says multiple word sentences now like, "Hi blue car" and "what me!" which means "what about me" and "Ha-wit" meaning "can I have it" and many others

When I take his picture he insists he has to see the picture by saying "see!" and putting himself in front of the screen.

He still loves hats and has recently developed a love for his dinosaur helmet when he rides his bike/push-car outside with his sisters

He is such a sweet boy and LOVES to snuggle me...he still is a Mamas boy!!

He is Very daring!!  He climbed up a VERY tall slide while we were in Idaho and slid down with out even hesitating and also fed the horses by hand and wasn't the least bit nervous!

He loves to tease his sisters, Kaliah in particular, but they all get plenty of teasing.  He loves to take their toys and run away and see if they can catch him, he also loves to come and knock down what ever they are playing with, part of having a brother, I guess! 

For his birthday he got a Thomas the train set, and I was trying to teach him the names of the trains and I said "This one is Percy, can you say Per...cy" and he looked and me and said "choo...choo" So I guess he doesn't care about the names quite yet, but he still LOVES the trains

His new train set!! he kept saying "opee" meaning "open"

He sat and played trains for a very long time!

I just love this boy! He is so sweet and so loving and at the same time, he is so much a boy, I couldn't ask for anymore in a son!! Happy birthday BK!!

The Production

So the girls put together a play of "frozen" one day all on their own.They had us some sit down and they started to act out, scene by scene the movie....costumes and everything!!

Here is Jojo as Olof....notice the rubber bands on her shirt to make buttons...I was very impressed with their attention to detail! Kenna is kneeling over there on the side as Anna while Olof sings. 

Here is kenna doing one of Anna's songs. Derek and I just sat there laughing at how cute they were and how well they knew the songs AND the script!  It was really impressive!

Then on the part where her outfit changes, she takes of her top outfit and THIS was underneath!!!  She may not have magic, but it was pretty tricky of her!!

Here is the cast!  Little Anna, and a troll was Kaliah, Little Elsa, olof, and the troll was Jojo,  Kenna was older Anna and Saileen was older Elsa. It was a great production!!  I give it 5 stars!!!!
