Boy through and through

While waiting for carpool the other day, I let Mykay play on the steering wheel.....

He was so excited, he was squealing and jumping up and down

He pushed and pulled every button he could find and he loved every second of it.  When I turned on the car, I had all kind of craziness going on. Windshield wipers and such, but he had so much fun!!!

Oh dear

Oh dear... Saileen came home with a love note....It actually said check yes or no!  Kids still use that?!?!
I know she is cute, but this is the 3rd grade people!! 
She is going to have to get used to breaking these boys hearts!

The little man with Mom and With Dad.  I gave him a haircut the day before, it's short, he may be bald, but he sure is cute!! I sure do love  my boys!!

I love taking pictures of my family, is makes me smile and reminds me every time how lucky I am to get to shore every day with these wonderful people that I love so much!!!

 

 

I'm Bored

The other night I went to a class called "wife for life"  which was amazing, totally changed my perspective on Men and Marriage.  When I came home Derek told me Saileen came in after bedtime and said she was bored.  He told her she could rock MyKay.....4 minutes later, this what he found. 

So sweet, I don't know who put who to sleep, but either way, it worked!

Carseat re-do...again

If you read my blog, you may remember when I re-covered a car seat for #4

It was super cute and I loved how it turned out!
But for #5, purple leopard print just wouldn't do, no matter how much I loved it ;-)
So here I go starting the car seat re-do, re-do!!

Dis assembly and cutting pieces

 re-attached the one side and I put navy in the center 

sewed around the strap holes. Repeated the process of taking apart, cutting pieces and sewing the other side back together

Here it is with all the pieces put back together, almost here

Then I used a bias tape to thread the elastic back through

I put some brown bias tape around the bottom 
strap holes and recovered the shoulder strap pads and Voila!

And here he is with all his cuteness in his new (to him) car seat!!!

Spring break

The last day of School before spring break Saileen had a presentation on Brazil

MyKenna and I went to the school and saw her  board she made and heard her speech .  She showed Kenna all her friends and then we headed home.  She did a great job!!

I got MyKay a new little hat....I love it!  He is so cute! And he leaves it on!  Don't be surprised to see his next pictures in it!! ;-)  

He also has learned how to wave!!

Other than that we really didn't do anything for spring break, kids were sick, first Mykay got a stuffy nose and cough after we went to well child check ups, I know it might be "coincidence" but he was fine until we went there and then he was sick within a day and we didn't go anywhere else other than that.  GRR
Then Bia got a croupy cough, then Kenna, then Mylee got a Fever off and on for 5 days and a cough....Saileen got it a little but not too bad.
 MyKenna started having a headache and a tummy ache and slept for 2 day straight then she was fine then she wasn't then she was, then she got a fever and wouldn't eat for a long time so we took her to the doctor. No answers there but it was reassuring that there wasn't something serious going on.
And right when I thought everyone was finally on the mend Mykay got another fever and stuffy nose. :(
So spring break we a bust!  We just watched movies and hung out together! Which was fun to just relax.
Here is hoping for some warm weather!

Fancy lady

So I must be getting old, I don't feel old...but if this little lady is 7 already, I must be!!

She is a little smarty pants, and loves reading Cam Jansen book!

She loves Barbies and playing with her favorite doll Olivia!

 Especially when she sings "opera" while in the bathroom!

She is such a sweetheart, she loves to "snuggle" 

She is such a big helper and a very hard worker!

I know I say this about all my kids, (rightfully so!) but I just love this kid so much!!!
As I do all my kids!  I love my kids and I love being a mom, good times and bad, these little people are my world and I love them to pieces!!!

We had another rash show up, who know what it was this time. I had one cranky baby for a whole week!!!

He would scream if i wasn't holding him.  needless to say, I got nothing done!!

Ok, I did get something done, I made this dress out of an old shirt and a scrap fabric I had.

She loves her "princess dress" Then I made 3 more and 3 doll  ones for my other girls.  I should know not to do a project unless I want to make 4 of them!  Can't leave anyone out!!!

Once he was feeling better, he was back to actually taking a nap...he didn't hardly sleep at all the whole week.  Naps or anything!!  But the other day this is how I found him.....at least he was comfortable!

Amid the toys, he chooses to play with the air intake vent!  He is playing it like a guitar, maybe we have a musician on our hands!

And now that he is crawling, he has discovered light sockets!!  oh joy, time to baby proof everything!!
