My Grandma

I just wanted to let you know that My Grandma, Betty Speakman, went in to the hospital last Wednesday. After extensive and painful testing, she has been diagnosed with intestines that have completely shut down. She can not eat anything for the time being. Also her abdomen has been distended. After testing she has been diagnosed with stage 4 (there are only 4 stages) malignant, inoperable ovarian cancer. They have one doctor that is hopeful and is trying to get her intestines working again. They are tube feeding her now, it seems to be going well. The cancer is pretty wide spread, so not much can be done about that. She doesn not want chemotherapy. No one knows how much time she has left. She is still a happy and optomistic person, but she also very much misses My Grandpa who passed away 3 years ago. So if Her passing away is what is supposed to be, she is okay with that too. We are hoping and praying for the best. Each day with her still here with us is such a blessing.
This has helped me to relize how precious and fragile life is.
Let the ones you love know how much you love them!
